@benoitfouc You need to open veyon-configurator and switch the View to Advanced. Then you go to the Service tab and there is the option "Hide tray icon".

I knew better than to install a .0 version of a program! Going back to the earlier one for now. . . I need it working!

That's indeed a strange behavior. Are you using the builtin network object directory, i.e. added the student computers manually in Veyon Configurator? If so, did you enter IP addresses or host names in the host address column?

@makerspacelab I have good news for you: this feature will be implemented in 4.6.1. If you already want to test, you can download and install the current test build at https://github.com/veyon/veyon/releases/download/v4.6.0/veyon-4.6.0.32-win64-setup.exe – besides messages being selectable/copyable student-side, it's now also possible to copy rich content, i.e. formatted text including hyperlinkers.

@rnetuband How would you do this? Would we be able to fix this within our classroom or through the district? I have the same concern as stated above.

Thank you for sharing your solution! The troubles you had might be related to https://github.com/veyon/veyon/issues/761 so until 4.6.1 is released you could try again with computer groups and make sure the nested groups option is not enabled.
